She Is My Music

Source

She was one heck of a girl for me. She was there when I needed someone most in my life. She understands me and me respects me for what I am. If you have a partner who understands you, respects you, trusts you and pledges to be with you whatever the situation is then I bet you my friend, you got a keeper.

It was December and that was when I first heard the music, the music of love. It was so complicated and yet so neat. It seemed as if I am listening to the most perfect note of my life. She was the melody that I would play all my life.

I have seen my friends getting in relationship and ruining precious years of their lives. They misunderstand the alarm of danger to music of life. Through her, life speaks to you and for me it was not just speaking to me, it was singing to me. I knew that chords have been struck and song has been made for life.

It is not that we had never hit wrong notes in life. There were times when we got stuck in some really gross situations. But whenever we got stuck or felt unsure, we searched for the right notes. We realigned our lives and realigned ourselves to come out better and stronger then we were.

Like how music can help you distress you and make you forget everything the same way she made me forget all my worries, disappointments. She just like music guided my mood. She became reflection of my emotions and I became hers. We liked not only each other’s company, each other’s words but we liked each other’s silence too. We both knew what we valued and our conversations helped us in knowing each other better. We disagree and debate but we never disapprove each other’s right to have an opinion. We respect each other’s views.

I know there was a time when we reached to the point as if we were going to break apart but then something magical happened. She called me and started reading a letter that I sent her whiles we were only two months old in the relationship. I listened to her and as the letter finished we disconnected calls from our end and did not speak for two straight days and then came the third day. There it was she and me sitting face to face at favorite table in a local coffee shop with the same pastry and same coffee that we ordered when we first visited that place.

When I look back, I notice how far we have come and how smoothly those years have gone past. The life was playing with a perfect soothe background music and we walked together the whole time hand in hand.

She is the music of my life and a song that I hum all the time.

A Positive Impact

Source

What it is like to get out of your normal routine life and having impact on someone’s life? Is it something too much to ask for from someone? I guess we all are capable of doing something good and motivate individuals.

There are many incidents in life that make us what we are today. We as human beings constantly learn from situations and people. This attitude to attitude is embedded deep into our genes. This hunger to learn has what made us successful and helped us survive ages while many other beings perished. I just feel that whenever someone learns from me they shouldn’t regret that.

Whenever you walk out of the door you should keep one thing in mind that there is someone who is watching you and you should motivate him/her with your actions. If you are having an impact on someone’s life it is better to make it a good one.

When you walk on the road and see a person help other, it fills your heart with happiness. It motivates you indulge in the same act. What it is about that action that motivates you? Do you know name of those individuals? How those strangers are having impact on you? We as human beings are here to help not just other human beings but all living beings.

I was going through job training in Mysore for the IT Company I am working in and there was my one friend from whom I learned how to be happy. He was a hard working and jovial. He couldn’t pass the training and got terminated but still he remained calm. I know he was upset and disappointed but the way he handled himself and presented it to others, gave hope to others too who got terminated. It was because of him that everyone who got terminated picked up themselves. He was having impact on life of so many individuals although he was clueless about his.

He was not doing it intentionally and never did he imagine that he was having impact on so many lives at the same time. I guess till date he does not know that he has impacted or have changed ideologies of many. He has brought positive change in all of us and made us all believe that how imperative it is to be positive.

There will be many times in life when you would be having impact on someone’s life and will not know about it. Next time when you act or react keep in mind that there is someone who is watching you and you are having an impact on his life. Always make efforts that whatever the impact you have on someone’s life make it a positive one.

Music- Keep It Original

Music is one of those things which I guess everyone appreciates in some form or the other. What is that about music, which makes it one of the most appreciated things? The answer lies in the simplicity and complexity at the same time. There are various songs that would just seem so simple and their tune flows like a water but the hours that have been invested and the intricate stitching of notes to create that gem is something that is clandestine most of the times.

It is said that music has no language and is independent of borders. It is right because music like any art form is created to appeal to individuals all round the globe. It is not really something that is been created to cater a specific audience. Although people have different choice when it comes to music they like but no one can deny the fact that a lot of effort and thought goes behind that process of creation.

Still I would agree to the fact that pure music is something that is not witnessed quite often and whatever we listen to is a commercialized aspect of it. Blaming those artists for creating music that satiates few specific ears isn’t something I support because it is absolutely normal to supply the music that people demand and make bucks out of it. We need to have respect to all the artists irrespective of whether we like them or not. There is one artist who needs to be reprimanded for his music and that artist is the one who steals music and call it inspiration. Those individuals are nothing but thieves, who make living out of the creativity of others. Being a blogger I know how bad plagiarism is. There are many individuals who just blindly copy the creative capital of someone and post it as their own.

Music being a universal language needs to be kept free from such individuals who do not have a creative nerve. The hard work that goes into creating something can never be compensated by someone who is just blindly copying the ideas.

Music is an awesome way of relaxation. People have accepted that music has such a deep impact on them that their mood depends on the song they listen too. I second their statement that music can change your mood. When I feel restless I just plug in my earphone in mobile and just blast my ears with heavy metal and it helps. I can actually feel better after listening to those songs. In the same way soulful instrumental gives you an insight of yourself. I find it really inspiring to listen to soulful music because it helps me introspect.

I feel that music being such a therapy and so pure and universal, it should be copied or should fall victim of plagiarism. Creativity is for everyone but not for stealing.

Navigate With Courage

Source

Have you ever been stuck in a situation where you cannot think of any way to get out of it? That feeling of being helpless and being stuck is really frustrating. When you feel as if you are going nowhere and the whole world seem to be passing by you and you just stand there and watch everyone get ahead. Have you wondered how a sailor would have felt when he gets lost in the ocean and all he can see is the emptiness all around him. For him feeling blue becomes reality in a literal sense. In the vastness of sea and emptiness of it, how small and trivial he feels.

Imagine you getting stuck on an island for few days and all you can think of is finding a way out of it but not finding it and you can see the days passing and the whole world moving forward except for you. That is when you need to muster courage and navigate through the unknown. If you look at the sea, you would see nothing but the blue vastness extending to infinity but those who navigated through those waters know that there is land on the other side of it. They were the one who navigated their ships into the unknown.

Everyone is afraid of something and everyone hesitates to take that first step but some day to know what lies on the other side of horizon you got take out your boat and start navigating into the waters and have to keep in mind that waters will not be forgiving and they would push to the limit and test you. The moment you start to accept the defeat is the moment the blue waters will become your destiny, the destiny you have not asked for. When the journey becomes your destination that is when you feel stuck because it is not something you wanted.

Always remember you set out for land and you would settle for no less but land. You will reach there because you have fought waters and have always kept it under your boat.

Navigation is a skill. It is the skill to be able to think straight while life is in spirals. You are responsible for your actions and no one will row you out of ocean. You got to pick up that oar and start rowing towards the land. Even if you can’t see the land, you must have faith in you. If you feel like getting stuck, you got to work on your navigating skills.

Navigating is just like navigating in seas. You have to know your coordinates and also know the capabilities of your boat. Once you know about these aspects, there is no one stopping you from reaching the coast.

Losing Her

Source
Have you ever felt that sensation running down your body, which makes you feel naked instead of donning the best dress from your wardrobe? I have felt it. The feeling was triggered by losing something. At first I took it as something not of importance but as they say “You come to know the value of something after losing it”. Same was the case with me, I lost her and now I long for her.

It was a fine morning. Nature was playing its music and vehicles’ honking at a distance seemed like a melody. I was lying on my bed awake and caressing her texture. I did not wanted to get up, everything seemed just perfect about the moment. I looked at my cell phone’s screen and got out of the comfort of my bed with haste. I was running late and got ready in quick time and then as I picked my cell phone, I got agitated. I was early. There I sat again on my bed caressing her and looking into the mirror and that is when the crazy idea struck me. I got rid of her and all little bits of her were flushed down the gutter.

I looked in mirror and that is when I realized, what I have done. I felt as if I have lost my identity. I was ready to go to office but felt as if nothing covered my skin. I felt that bare naked just like the bare naked truth of she not being with me anymore.

I promised to myself that this time I will not lose her. She will be with me again. Now I have brought her back and she is with me again. She spends all her time with me and I know she would never leave me. I love it when I look into the mirror and see her there in the reflection. Beard becomes a man's unique identity in the world of monotonicity and losing her nothing short of losing the clothes.

My Brother- Truly Made Of Great

Me and My brother

Word great is used for pretty much everything these days. Going out with friends and then posting a picture on Facebook with a caption “had a great time”. We have overused that word but there are some who truly reflect the meaning of the word great with their sheer hard work and dedication. But a person is not always famous. He can be anyone. He can be any individual who is carrying out all his duties and doing all the work assigned to him with his/her full potential. He can be the person sitting next to you in a cubicle, he can be a tea vendor; he can be anyone. What actually makes these individuals great is their doing what they are doing with their full potential and great determination.

For me my elder brother would surely be the one who is made of great. He has always made me feel protected by him. He would always stand up and go ahead to light the path for me. People say that an elder brother pretty much like a father figure and for me he was that. He would bring whatever I needed for me at any given hour of the day.

Source

He had the patience and the humility. He has always encouraged me to try something new and have always showed faith in me. He is also a blogger and has also written contents professionally for few firms and he was the one who introduced me to writing. He showed trust in my writing and encouraged me for it. He purchased guitar and have always motivated me to play and learn it. He always pushed me to try out new things.

For me my brother is someone who is truly a great being. Whatever he does has his touch of excellence. He is perfect in his own way. His soul is the thing that drives him to be great in whatever he does. He has this perfect personality. He can just get along with anyone. He is great with kids, he is great with elders, he is great with youngsters, he is great with animals, he is great with relatives or you can say he is great with everyone. I have never seen him quit and walk away. He has always been a fighter. The most beautiful flowers are the ones that blossom in the harshest of the environments.

He helped me at each and every stage of life. Right from the time when we were in school till the college his guidance has helped me. He would not only help me with the studies but will also help me with the co curricular. His guidance is the reason I am what I am today.

Love you brother. You continue to be a source of inspiration for me. You are truly made of great.

Together To A Far Land

Source
Swapna used to sit in first row, in college. A serious, studious kind of girl. A perfect example of front bencher. She was a women of few phrase. Never spoke much to anyone and never did anyone tried to infiltrate into her little perfect world of silence. She was also our class representative. Few semesters passed and she still remained a mystery that no one wanted to pay attention to.

It was seventh semester of my engineering. We were approaching end of semester. She used to live close to my house and we traveled in the same college bus. As my attendance was short for the semester, I had to attend college every day, while everyone was busy with their exam preparations and project work. She also used to come to class despite of having very good attendance. Only few students used to come to attend the class.

I used to ask her for help and she would happily respond. She would help me in learning the concepts and even clear the silliest of my doubts. We soon became good friends and would go to college together. Then exams came and on the days of exam too, she would help me and share the topics that were important as per her. I got a pretty decent score in that semester.

It was our final semester and many of us were desperately looking for a job, few were planning for further studies, while few were planning to join their parental business. Swapna and I used to look for jobs and placement related events. We went to a lot of placement events, in many of which we got placed but the jobs were too less paying or wasn’t at all related to our field i.e. engineering. Finally the diligence paid off. We both got jobs in good companies with a decent pay.

We completed our engineering. The four years of fun came to an end and now we were out there in the unknown world.  Before leaving for my posted location I met my friends and Swapna. When I met her she had tears in her eyes. I asked what happened. “We are not going to meet again, right?” She said. “We will surely meet”, I said. “Why we can’t always be together, do we need to separate? We are two different individuals but see how perfect we are together. Look at that rose, will it be that beautiful, if it is not going to have those thorns. If they can be together, why can’t we be? “ I just hugged her and we stayed that way for few minutes. We were now officially in a relationship.

For initial months, the conversations were full of love and we enjoyed this new found love between us. We enjoyed our little fights but would sort it out soon. As months passed by our fights got intense and romance got thrown out of the window. We both got busy in our lives and job and were not able to give proper time to our relationship. Whenever we talked, we only fought. Nothing seemed right and the relationship seemed nothing but a mistake.

It was until my college friends came with a plan of trip cum get together. We all needed time for ourselves to get out of the boring routine of corporate life. We went to a place called Harishareshwar beach, close to Pune. The beach was not crowded and water was clean. There were few more beaches there like Diveagar, Shreevardhan. Their beauty was just impeccable.

At night Swapna and I went for a stroll on the beach. We talked, laughed, pulled each other’s leg and it all seemed as if we never had any fights. It seemed like a perfect relationship. It was full moon, we looked into each other’s eyes and we both knew, we have found our moment of togetherness.
I just hugged her and haven’t let her go since then. It’s been 5 years and we celebrate our togetherness every day. Every year we go to some natural place where we can enjoy each other’s company in lap of nature without any shackles of the digital world and celebrate our togetherness.

Baby's Bedtime Rituals

Source
Everyone loves babies and we love them more when they are ours. Every time we indulge in any kind of activity with them which makes them smile, we feel that feeling of care and love from inside. There are a lot of things that we as parents enjoy doing for our kids. We love to take care of them and do everything possible that we could do to make them smile. There are a lot of things we take care of when it comes to babies. We take care of their eating habits, their sleeping habits, defecating habits etcetera. We do a lot of things to make sure our babies grow up to be healthy and happy. These are the things that I used to do to before my baby used to fall asleep.

Clichéd Lullaby

No matter how clichéd it may sound this was the first thing that I started doing before my child would actually go to sleep. There wasn’t a specific lullaby like the ones that we hear in movies in daily life, instead I would hum random tunes to my toddler and he would slowly fall asleep. He really loved listening to lullabies when he was really small. He would sometime make sounds while I used to hum the tune, I don’t know may be just to imitate me.

It is Dance Night

Well believe it or not I used to dance with my little one before he used to go to sleep. After coming from office I take in arms would dance in he enjoyed it. He used to laugh and then we would go to sleep and he would sleep soundly because of being tired by the continuous laughing. He loved the new moves and steps and things we used to do while dancing.

Drive Me Sleepy

I used to take my kid out for a stroll and he would love every single of bit. Once I took him out in car and from that the strolling ritual turned into a driving ritual. He loved it being the car and whenever we used to head back he would fall asleep. From there on it became a permanent ritual for all of us (my wife, my baby and me) to go on a drive. It also helped us in exploring the city and we used to take him to parks with car and he totally loved it. He would start smiling when I would pick the car keys.

These are the things that developed into ritual before he used to go to sleep. I also used to follow one more ritual which is making him wear diaper before he would go to sleep. This ensured him a sound and healthy sleep, so when he would wake up he would be all active and happy.

Just Dimple No Pimple

Via- http://www.nopimplesnomarks.com/
Pimple is one of the most annoying things, which appears out of the blue and stays on your face for a long time. I have even witnessed people who suffer from the pimple related issues throughout the year and are fed up of it. A clean face means a healthy body and that is why a face free from pimple would always be preferred.

I have seen people facing trouble because of the pimply face. There are people who did not have pleasant experience during the job interviews and even with the opposite gender. It is easy to say that looks do not matter much and yes we all agree to the fact. But our brain is hard wired to accept something or someone that looks good and deem it as healthy.

I remember one of my friends had trouble with her pimples. She was fed up with the constant remarks made about her pimply face. People used to make statements like what is the similarity between her face and Indian road, both are rough. Some remarks were too mean and nasty. She liked one of our classmates in college. When she mustered enough courage to share her thoughts and feelings with him the reply she got totally stunned her. The guy got agitated and said how she could even think that he would date a pimply girl like her. He also said that how she could even think of him becoming her boy friend. He insulted her and even made fun of her.

We tried to console her and asked the guy to apologize. The guy realized his mistake and immediately apologized to her. He even accepted mistake in front of everyone and tried to console her. But my friend was hurt. Soon the college ended and she was in touch with no one.

I met her in the local market. I was awed by her appearance. Her pimples were gone and her face was radiant. She looked really pretty and there were just dimples on her face no pimples. I questioned her about the general stuff and what she was doing. She shared all that has happened with her in the past few months. She got a job and currently dating a guy who loves her. I asked her about the secret behind the radiant skin and she said that is because of new cream that she has started using.

She was using Garnier pure active Neem face wash. The goodness of the Neem has surely had great effect on her skin. The result of the face wash was quite evident. It even helped her with the oily skin. Even I used the product for to treat my oily skin and it did wonders for me too.

For anyone needing a good face wash Garnier pure active Neem face wash is the one.

Healthy Kid Means Happy Home

Via- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Dabur_Logo.svg

My sister’s kid is a pocket size powerhouse. He always indulges into some kind of mischievous and fun activities which leaves the whole house smiling. His energy gets reciprocated in the whole house. With his activity the whole family comes alive and everyone starts feeling a lot more energetic. His innocent questions are bound to make you smile. He has this habit of exaggerating already known facts, like he would make stories about dinosaurs breaking his toys and wrestling with them.

Kids are really the true energy of a house. With their constant active presence in the house, they create a positive atmosphere. When these little angels fall sick that is when it creates an unhealthy environment in the house. When you see your little angel wrapped up in a quilt and coughing with 100 degrees fever then there is no other thing more despairing than that. A healthy kid always lifts up the spirit of the house and brings smiles to everyone’s face.

A healthy home is one where kids are healthy because they create a healthy environment. They fill our homes with fun and happiness. Homes where kids fall ill more often have unhealthier environment than the homes where kids are healthier.

To keep our kids healthy and fit, we have to make them follow good habits. One of such habits is eating Dabur Chyawanprash daily. It improves the immunity of the body and makes individual fall less ill. If kids start consuming a spoon full of Chyawanprash daily then it would improve the immune system of the kid and would help him grow and also fight various ailments. If Chyawanprash is consumed from an early age then it can have great effect on individual’s health throughout the life.

I recall the time when my nephew fell ill and the whole house was worried. We used to give him Chyawanprash for the immunity, which helped him come out of the sickness and fill the whole house again with the energy that he had. He had this habit of having one spoon full of Chyawanprash each morning and would then execute all the mischievous activities that he had planned the day before.
It is one those habits that I also follow and it has really helped me build by immune system. Still today I start my day with two spoons of chyawanprash and every member of family follows the same routine. This particular habit has helped our family stay healthy. All the kids in our house have a spoon of chyawanprash and have developed higher immunity. This higher immunity creates happiness and a healthy house.

Chyawanprash is the right mixture of all the herbs and is formula that is sure to increase your child’s and your immunity.

They Are Not Bad Girls

What is a good girl or what is the true definition of a good girl? It is something on which I have never given much thought to be honest. It is not because I consider this topic too trivial or something. But there is one thing which I am very certain of for this question. And that thing is the general definition of the society or daily soaps is not defined good girl. Many people just make remarks about a girl whether she is good or bad just by judging her. The difference or similarity in the ideology can never be the ground for classifying a girl in the category of good or bad. In this blog I will not create sketch of an ideal girl but would deny the already floating sketches of the so called Bad Girl.

Source

She hangs out with boys, she is a slut

Who are you to make such a derogatory statement about that girl? How has she become a bad butterfly who goes to every flower for the pollen? Just because her thought process does not conform to yours makes her slut then I guess Swacch Bharat movement should reach your brain too. There are girls who are bad but not because of the fact they hang out with guys. That famous dialogue from Suraj Badjatya’s movie Maine Pyar Kia where Mohnish Bahal says “Ek ladka aur ek ladki kabhi dost nahi ho sakte” is not true. Stop judging her based on the gender of her friends.

She wears western dresses and comes home late

Well if you have problem with the fact that a girl wears clothes of her liking then why can’t you apply same logic to boys. If you think a girl should wear ethnic dresses only then why don’t you ask a boy to wear a Dhoti Kurta or Kurta Payjama or Kameez Payjama to the office. If she comes late at home then she is bad and the boy comes late at home no brows raised. I mean really if you judge a girl is bad or good on this scale then I am sorry to say but you score a big fat zero on maturity scale.

She is not a virgin

Well this factor would make the girl a biggest offender of the mankind as per many. Well sex is not everything in life okay. She knew what she was doing and that was her decision. If you say love is the greatest feeling then she did it because of this greatest emotion that she felt while doing it. You don’t have same rules for boys and even same rules are for boys, still that point is totally invalid. Virginity does not make an individual’s character.

These are the points that came to my mind, which I thought normally make a girl in the category of the great vamp. If you know of any more points which make individuals think of her as a bad girl then do mention it in the comment section.

LIFE Is Not A LIE

Via- http://stevecha.net/ask-steve-what-is-truth/
Lying is one of the most important characteristics of human beings. If I ask you or myself a simple question that how many times had you lied from the time you first stepped into the world, the answer would be numerous times. Even in our daily lives we lie about so many trivial issues knowingly or unknowingly. As per a study 60% percent of human beings cannot go 10 minutes without lying once. Now that figure is something about which I am not lying. But no matter how often we lie, it will always be one of the bad habits.

Whenever we lie about something we always feel that little soul inside us trying to shove us to tell the truth and when we do tell the truth there is no better feeling. Lying does have its advantage but only for the short term. As quoted by the great author Mark Twain “If you tell the truth you don’t have to remember anything”. Now that statement in itself is the testament of importance of truth in our lives.
To be honest I was not amongst the most honest of the kids in my school days. I had this habit of lying and convincing myself that I was just hiding the truth. It wasn’t something I feel proud of but this habit set me straight to tread on the path of truth because it helped me learn the lessons that I was missing because of lying.

I remember that day when I was in my in seventh grade. My parents got me enrolled in a convent school and it was tough as hell for me because neither could I speak English and nor could I understand it. As all the teachers were from south, it became tough for me even to understand the normal and simple questions fired at me. I flunked in a couple of subjects in my unit test and I followed the same glorious run in my quarterly examination. I had to get my report card signed by parents. I went up to them to get it signed and I was grounded. I will not say there wrong about it. They wanted me to work on my skills but it was I who got it wrong.

During my unit tests after quarterly exam I did good and flunked in two subjects only. Then came the midterm examination or half yearly exam, I flunked in 5 subjects, even in the Moral Science. The subjects in which I passed were Mathematics, Hindi and Sanskrit. I presumed canning (which I never got) for this great performance. I practiced my mum’s signature as it was a little easy and was little fidgeting when I did the final act of forging it on the report card.

Via- http://drsircus.com/personal/for-those-who-are-interested-in-truth
I was relieved because I had executed my part correctly. Teacher asked for the report card to be brought back in a couple of days. I took it to the school but didn’t give to the class teacher and made an excuse that I forgot to get it signed. I reached home and my mum was there and served me with the hot meal. I consumed it and went up to the study room. I was feeling that guilt of lying and forging. The day passed and it was bed time. I swirled in my bed for a couple of hours. Everyone was asleep. I woke up and took my report card and went to my parents’ room. I woke my mum and she was little tensed and asked in a concerned voice “Kya hua? Dar lag raha hai kya?”  By the time my dad was also up and asked what happened. I showed my report card to them. They went through the red marks in report card and I said sorry for the signature.

My dad said in a calm voice “Koi bat nahi”. He then asked what problem am I facing and what is the reason for such result. He listened to me and made me understand that it was not my final exam and I could still buck up and make more efforts to change this result. He taught me English after that and after that moment I was on the learning spree. My results improved every year and now I m one of the finest English speaking and English writing kids in my family and placed in an MNC too. I don’t know what my life would have been if I wouldn’t have spoken the truth.

Do try it yourself, it does feel good to speak the truth.
