Be Peppy Be Happy

Do you have any friend who is a pure bundle of energy? I guess everyone have such kind of friends. They are those individuals who resonate energy. They make even the most trivial of the things interesting with their sheer enthusiasm and energy. It is fun to be with these individuals. I can recall that most of the amazing and interesting memories that I had during my college life was because of those peppy beings. It feels as if they are made of a different material all together. They would bring light to the gloomiest of the settings.
I had one friend who was power house of energy. It is not just about the physical aspect of energy. The way he spoke about the most trivial of the things and making it sound most interesting thing in the world was his quality. You could see individuals opening up to him in no time.
Peppy is more of choice. You can be that peppy being who brings energy to the dull setting and light up the whole place. It is often seen that people who were once enthusiastic and full of energy turning into something they are not.
In recent times a movie was released where the protagonist had these weird side, which he never revealed to anyone. He hid it deep beneath the fake character that he played in his life. He was not acting the way he was but he was acting the way people around him wanted to. It is quite a common phenomenon that we stop ourselves from doing things our own way because of others. Sometimes we care too often about others, about society that we stop caring about ourselves. As that movie suggested, we just become a machine assigned to do a task, without logic, without creativity.
There was a time in childhood, when people used to come up to you and ask what you wanted to be, to which few used to answer doctor, engineer, IAS but very few said dancer, actor, singer, musician. When we used to answer that question, did we really answered it because we wanted to be doctors and engineers or we were just reiterating the things that people around us wanted to say.
Many of the individuals grow up to be nothing but a machine which is performing tasks assigned to it. We miss on the opportunity of being peppy and happy. Sometimes you got to unwind yourself and indulge into activities that you love and fell peppy and happy about it.
Peppy is not something that is reserved for a certain age group but it is an emotion, a feeling you can enjoy at any time of your life. Be peppy and spread the energy.

Music: Art Of Living

Source

What is music? Is it really related to the sound that is generated from the instruments or is it something more?
When I asked individuals about their hobbies, I have often come across this answer from individuals that they love to listen to music and name their favorite artists. For me music is not really something that you listen from great musicians or maestros. I will not deny the fact that the creation of those creative minds is music but it is not just plane sound, which is music.
Have you wondered how your favorite song would sound without all those pauses? How empty would be if the music did not have that elegance of pause, which gives that stability to the changing beats and tunes?
I am very sure that many of you have heard of this phrase “Nature playing its music” or “wind was singing to me”. Is it really something that has been said metaphorically or something that is observed keenly? I bet you cannot deny the fact the nature has its own music and the instrument she uses is just jaw dropping.
On a lazy summer afternoon birds chirping and the wind blowing on the deserted road. What is that sound, isn’t that a melody? If you have ever been on beach and paid attention to the sound of the waves, you could relate to the music I am talking about. A music that is not dependent on the instruments but a music that has beauty, which is not repeating itself, that is not created just to soothe few ears.
A kid laughing, wind blowing, lustful whisper and many more happenings of life can be music. Rustle of leaves on an old boulevard to honking of cars in a traffic jam, everything is music.
If the beauty lies in the eyes of the onlooker then music lies in the ears of the listener.
I play guitar and do treat the sound that is generated from it as music but also consider the pause in between the tunes as music. Music is beautiful and truly a stress buster. It gives time to you, to realize and contemplate on your being. For me it is really something in which I can find my reflection. It helps me unwind and let me focus on my being myself. It sets me straight.
As they say music is same everywhere because it has no language, no borders and no appearance of its own. You cannot differentiate between music as rich or poor or black or white. It is universal. If you ask me perfect definition of democracy then it has to be music because music is for everyone and anyone can contribute to it.
Music not only makes me happy, but it can also make sad, it can also scare me and it can also make me violent because music to me is emotion. Emotion that spreads without medium.

Impact- A Ripple Effect

Source

We all are created to do something. That something can be really anything. It can be leading the nation by being the Prime Minister or it can be being a sweeper and making society cleaner. But what is important part of life is doing something not for the sake of yourself but also for others. It is about having the positive impact on life of others.
From ages we have been hearing this phrase “Human beings are social animals”. What does the term social refers to in this phrase. Is it something like living in a group or having get together or throwing parties or is it something else?
Being social does not really mean having X number of friends or having Y number of friends on Facebook. It is more about having positive impact on life of others. It is more or less related to working for the betterment of yourself along with the society. If human beings would have kept all the knowledge they got to themselves then what the world would have been like. I guess who would have never come to know of the fact that earth is round and also we wouldn’t have been able to identify ourselves too.
I have a friend who, who once told me a story about making the difference and having positive impact on someone’s life. There was a person who used to live in his neighborhood and sweep his parking space and also the road in front of his house. He was mocked by few in the starting but eventually the whole neighborhood joined hands and swept the road daily. The whole society was cleaning the roads, making it one of cleanest societies of the city.
That person did not require great effort or a lot of resources. He indulged in the activity he felt right about and eventually everyone started following him. There is one term that I have used quite often in this blog, which is “positive impact”. Having impact on others life can be anything from good to bad, what is important is that a person should work on having positive impacts on other’s life.
That action can be as simple as planting a small tree or adopting a stray dog or giving free lectures. It can be anything under the sun. As people say a good deed is like a ripple effect. No deed done with good intention is big or small. Get out of your house and pick a banana peel from road and trash it in dustbin, which is also a good deed.
There is so much in life that you can do. It don’t always need a great mansion or good bank balance to do well to others. No one is asking you to give away yourself for others but it is the thought that counts. Spreading the awareness about something also a good deed. If you feel like indulging in a good deed and having positive impact on someone’s life after reading this blog then I would feel that I have also done something that had positive impact.

Together To A Far Land

Source
Swapna used to sit in first row, in college. A serious, studious kind of girl. A perfect example of front bencher. She was a women of few phrase. Never spoke much to anyone and never did anyone tried to infiltrate into her little perfect world of silence. She was also our class representative. Few semesters passed and she still remained a mystery that no one wanted to pay attention to.

It was seventh semester of my engineering. We were approaching end of semester. She used to live close to my house and we traveled in the same college bus. As my attendance was short for the semester, I had to attend college every day, while everyone was busy with their exam preparations and project work. She also used to come to class despite of having very good attendance. Only few students used to come to attend the class.

I used to ask her for help and she would happily respond. She would help me in learning the concepts and even clear the silliest of my doubts. We soon became good friends and would go to college together. Then exams came and on the days of exam too, she would help me and share the topics that were important as per her. I got a pretty decent score in that semester.

It was our final semester and many of us were desperately looking for a job, few were planning for further studies, while few were planning to join their parental business. Swapna and I used to look for jobs and placement related events. We went to a lot of placement events, in many of which we got placed but the jobs were too less paying or wasn’t at all related to our field i.e. engineering. Finally the diligence paid off. We both got jobs in good companies with a decent pay.

We completed our engineering. The four years of fun came to an end and now we were out there in the unknown world.  Before leaving for my posted location I met my friends and Swapna. When I met her she had tears in her eyes. I asked what happened. “We are not going to meet again, right?” She said. “We will surely meet”, I said. “Why we can’t always be together, do we need to separate? We are two different individuals but see how perfect we are together. Look at that rose, will it be that beautiful, if it is not going to have those thorns. If they can be together, why can’t we be? “ I just hugged her and we stayed that way for few minutes. We were now officially in a relationship.

For initial months, the conversations were full of love and we enjoyed this new found love between us. We enjoyed our little fights but would sort it out soon. As months passed by our fights got intense and romance got thrown out of the window. We both got busy in our lives and job and were not able to give proper time to our relationship. Whenever we talked, we only fought. Nothing seemed right and the relationship seemed nothing but a mistake.

It was until my college friends came with a plan of trip cum get together. We all needed time for ourselves to get out of the boring routine of corporate life. We went to a place called Harishareshwar beach, close to Pune. The beach was not crowded and water was clean. There were few more beaches there like Diveagar, Shreevardhan. Their beauty was just impeccable.

At night Swapna and I went for a stroll on the beach. We talked, laughed, pulled each other’s leg and it all seemed as if we never had any fights. It seemed like a perfect relationship. It was full moon, we looked into each other’s eyes and we both knew, we have found our moment of togetherness.
I just hugged her and haven’t let her go since then. It’s been 5 years and we celebrate our togetherness every day. Every year we go to some natural place where we can enjoy each other’s company in lap of nature without any shackles of the digital world and celebrate our togetherness.

Baby's Bedtime Rituals

Source
Everyone loves babies and we love them more when they are ours. Every time we indulge in any kind of activity with them which makes them smile, we feel that feeling of care and love from inside. There are a lot of things that we as parents enjoy doing for our kids. We love to take care of them and do everything possible that we could do to make them smile. There are a lot of things we take care of when it comes to babies. We take care of their eating habits, their sleeping habits, defecating habits etcetera. We do a lot of things to make sure our babies grow up to be healthy and happy. These are the things that I used to do to before my baby used to fall asleep.

Clichéd Lullaby

No matter how clichéd it may sound this was the first thing that I started doing before my child would actually go to sleep. There wasn’t a specific lullaby like the ones that we hear in movies in daily life, instead I would hum random tunes to my toddler and he would slowly fall asleep. He really loved listening to lullabies when he was really small. He would sometime make sounds while I used to hum the tune, I don’t know may be just to imitate me.

It is Dance Night

Well believe it or not I used to dance with my little one before he used to go to sleep. After coming from office I take in arms would dance in he enjoyed it. He used to laugh and then we would go to sleep and he would sleep soundly because of being tired by the continuous laughing. He loved the new moves and steps and things we used to do while dancing.

Drive Me Sleepy

I used to take my kid out for a stroll and he would love every single of bit. Once I took him out in car and from that the strolling ritual turned into a driving ritual. He loved it being the car and whenever we used to head back he would fall asleep. From there on it became a permanent ritual for all of us (my wife, my baby and me) to go on a drive. It also helped us in exploring the city and we used to take him to parks with car and he totally loved it. He would start smiling when I would pick the car keys.

These are the things that developed into ritual before he used to go to sleep. I also used to follow one more ritual which is making him wear diaper before he would go to sleep. This ensured him a sound and healthy sleep, so when he would wake up he would be all active and happy.

Healthy Kid Means Happy Home

Via- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Dabur_Logo.svg

My sister’s kid is a pocket size powerhouse. He always indulges into some kind of mischievous and fun activities which leaves the whole house smiling. His energy gets reciprocated in the whole house. With his activity the whole family comes alive and everyone starts feeling a lot more energetic. His innocent questions are bound to make you smile. He has this habit of exaggerating already known facts, like he would make stories about dinosaurs breaking his toys and wrestling with them.

Kids are really the true energy of a house. With their constant active presence in the house, they create a positive atmosphere. When these little angels fall sick that is when it creates an unhealthy environment in the house. When you see your little angel wrapped up in a quilt and coughing with 100 degrees fever then there is no other thing more despairing than that. A healthy kid always lifts up the spirit of the house and brings smiles to everyone’s face.

A healthy home is one where kids are healthy because they create a healthy environment. They fill our homes with fun and happiness. Homes where kids fall ill more often have unhealthier environment than the homes where kids are healthier.

To keep our kids healthy and fit, we have to make them follow good habits. One of such habits is eating Dabur Chyawanprash daily. It improves the immunity of the body and makes individual fall less ill. If kids start consuming a spoon full of Chyawanprash daily then it would improve the immune system of the kid and would help him grow and also fight various ailments. If Chyawanprash is consumed from an early age then it can have great effect on individual’s health throughout the life.

I recall the time when my nephew fell ill and the whole house was worried. We used to give him Chyawanprash for the immunity, which helped him come out of the sickness and fill the whole house again with the energy that he had. He had this habit of having one spoon full of Chyawanprash each morning and would then execute all the mischievous activities that he had planned the day before.
It is one those habits that I also follow and it has really helped me build by immune system. Still today I start my day with two spoons of chyawanprash and every member of family follows the same routine. This particular habit has helped our family stay healthy. All the kids in our house have a spoon of chyawanprash and have developed higher immunity. This higher immunity creates happiness and a healthy house.

Chyawanprash is the right mixture of all the herbs and is formula that is sure to increase your child’s and your immunity.
