Healthy Kid Means Happy Home

Via- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Dabur_Logo.svg

My sister’s kid is a pocket size powerhouse. He always indulges into some kind of mischievous and fun activities which leaves the whole house smiling. His energy gets reciprocated in the whole house. With his activity the whole family comes alive and everyone starts feeling a lot more energetic. His innocent questions are bound to make you smile. He has this habit of exaggerating already known facts, like he would make stories about dinosaurs breaking his toys and wrestling with them.

Kids are really the true energy of a house. With their constant active presence in the house, they create a positive atmosphere. When these little angels fall sick that is when it creates an unhealthy environment in the house. When you see your little angel wrapped up in a quilt and coughing with 100 degrees fever then there is no other thing more despairing than that. A healthy kid always lifts up the spirit of the house and brings smiles to everyone’s face.

A healthy home is one where kids are healthy because they create a healthy environment. They fill our homes with fun and happiness. Homes where kids fall ill more often have unhealthier environment than the homes where kids are healthier.

To keep our kids healthy and fit, we have to make them follow good habits. One of such habits is eating Dabur Chyawanprash daily. It improves the immunity of the body and makes individual fall less ill. If kids start consuming a spoon full of Chyawanprash daily then it would improve the immune system of the kid and would help him grow and also fight various ailments. If Chyawanprash is consumed from an early age then it can have great effect on individual’s health throughout the life.

I recall the time when my nephew fell ill and the whole house was worried. We used to give him Chyawanprash for the immunity, which helped him come out of the sickness and fill the whole house again with the energy that he had. He had this habit of having one spoon full of Chyawanprash each morning and would then execute all the mischievous activities that he had planned the day before.
It is one those habits that I also follow and it has really helped me build by immune system. Still today I start my day with two spoons of chyawanprash and every member of family follows the same routine. This particular habit has helped our family stay healthy. All the kids in our house have a spoon of chyawanprash and have developed higher immunity. This higher immunity creates happiness and a healthy house.

Chyawanprash is the right mixture of all the herbs and is formula that is sure to increase your child’s and your immunity.

They Are Not Bad Girls

What is a good girl or what is the true definition of a good girl? It is something on which I have never given much thought to be honest. It is not because I consider this topic too trivial or something. But there is one thing which I am very certain of for this question. And that thing is the general definition of the society or daily soaps is not defined good girl. Many people just make remarks about a girl whether she is good or bad just by judging her. The difference or similarity in the ideology can never be the ground for classifying a girl in the category of good or bad. In this blog I will not create sketch of an ideal girl but would deny the already floating sketches of the so called Bad Girl.

Source

She hangs out with boys, she is a slut

Who are you to make such a derogatory statement about that girl? How has she become a bad butterfly who goes to every flower for the pollen? Just because her thought process does not conform to yours makes her slut then I guess Swacch Bharat movement should reach your brain too. There are girls who are bad but not because of the fact they hang out with guys. That famous dialogue from Suraj Badjatya’s movie Maine Pyar Kia where Mohnish Bahal says “Ek ladka aur ek ladki kabhi dost nahi ho sakte” is not true. Stop judging her based on the gender of her friends.

She wears western dresses and comes home late

Well if you have problem with the fact that a girl wears clothes of her liking then why can’t you apply same logic to boys. If you think a girl should wear ethnic dresses only then why don’t you ask a boy to wear a Dhoti Kurta or Kurta Payjama or Kameez Payjama to the office. If she comes late at home then she is bad and the boy comes late at home no brows raised. I mean really if you judge a girl is bad or good on this scale then I am sorry to say but you score a big fat zero on maturity scale.

She is not a virgin

Well this factor would make the girl a biggest offender of the mankind as per many. Well sex is not everything in life okay. She knew what she was doing and that was her decision. If you say love is the greatest feeling then she did it because of this greatest emotion that she felt while doing it. You don’t have same rules for boys and even same rules are for boys, still that point is totally invalid. Virginity does not make an individual’s character.

These are the points that came to my mind, which I thought normally make a girl in the category of the great vamp. If you know of any more points which make individuals think of her as a bad girl then do mention it in the comment section.

New Year's resolution- My Passion

New Year is that time people recall all the memories of the past year and make a promise to ourselves to not repeat those mistakes and make life a little more awesome. One of the things that have become an integral part of New Year is New Year’s resolution. There are many memes that floating around the internet making fun on how we all make resolutions and don’t stick to them even for a month. But there are many who do follow these resolutions seriously and I guess I am one of them. Although the resolutions that I made were not as big as I want to be a movie star or I want to be topper of my class. I have always set small goals and felt great in achieving them.
This year my goal for the next year is following my small passion. This year I would try to learn to sketch and draw a little. I was never a great sketcher and was not good with pencil, sketch pen, water colors, paint brush or anything contraption with which a person can draw. Even my grades in Engineering Graphics are testament of my not so great drawing skills. Doodles were a common thing on my copies in my college and school.
This year I would be able to pursue this passion with a great ease with the new Micromaxcanvas Tab. It has all the features that would make me follow my passion with all the ease. With its big screen I would be able to watch the learning videos with great detail. With its fast processor I would be able to visit the learning websites a lot quicker. This tablet has good battery backup and because of which I would be able to practice a good amount of time without even worrying of plugging it in to the charger.
The fine camera quality of this phone would also help share my piece of art with my friends and also with the world. With this tablet comes the brand name of Micromax. I have used the gadgets of this brand in past and they were a really value of money and gave (and still giving) a great service.
At last this tablet comes at a price which elates my senses. So many features at such a reasonable price make this tablet a great buy for anyone. This tablet would take me closer in fulfilling the resolution that I would be making this New Year. To all those who are planning to buy a new tablet this New Year for you or yourself this is one full package for yourself. If you have any great uses of this awesome gadget then do mention it to us in the comment section.

What Is Being Cool?

What is being cool and how to become cool is something that had me scratching my head for a lot of time. I never had any idea about what are those traits or attributes of an individual’s character that make him/her get classified as a cool guy or cool gal. I still don’t know much about using that word, especially pertaining to an individual or event. But I am very certain about certain things that should not be practices and thought as being cool.

Smoking

Source
Driving in your car, with hand stretched out of the window holding a cigarette might appear as one of the coolest things to venture into but it is not. Smoking is not just a bad habit, it is a disease. Many people say they only smoke when they are stressed what if the same logic is given by rapists like they only rape when they are aroused. I don’t have to stress on the various ailments that smoking can cause to your body because even the packet of cigarette warns you of it. If you are among those who think smoking is cool, then you got to give a thought on the fact what being cool is.

Cynicism

Source
I don’t know how but it became a known trait of being cool. May be one of the reason to it is that a negative statement is often misunderstood as a healthy brain. People would pay more attention to a negative statement then ten positive ones and this led to unnecessary cynicism. People blatantly curse their country, school, society, office just to be recognized as a cool intellectual. A fine example is when people talk about why women’s situation would not improve in India while staring at a girl in a cafĂ©. If you identify that trait of cynicism as something cool then sorry it is not.

Studying sucks

Source
Often people joke about how they don’t study till their final exam and how cool they it is to get just passing marks or grace. Yeah, I mean those jokes are funny many a times but the reality is far from that. An F in final exam is not at all cool. Education and studies are really important and if you think it is not cup of your tea because it seems so uncool, well then you might miss the bus my friend. Accept the fact that when you sit for placements you are only eligible if you fulfill that minimum percentage criterion and that is when your D would not look that cool as you thought it to be. If your logic is that Bill Gates was a drop out then also keep in mind that he dropped out of Harvard.

Not able to speak Hindi

Source
Now this statement may come out a bit offensive but cool it yar. It is not targeted to you just to make you feel ashamed of not knowing name of five Hindi writers. Actually this is applicable to those who think that speaking in English is the only sign of intellect. People would not listen to a great point or statement made in Hindi but would blow whistles for one of the most trivial English statement. Just acting like you don’t know Hindi and can’t read and speak it fluently does not make you cool but instead make you look like a jerk. Don’t fake that “oh I suck at Hindiface we all know you do know it.

Although the list is long but for now these are few things that definitely do not make you look cool. If you know more things that are often confused as being cool then do mention it in the comment section. You can also share your definition of being cool with us.

LIFE Is Not A LIE

Via- http://stevecha.net/ask-steve-what-is-truth/
Lying is one of the most important characteristics of human beings. If I ask you or myself a simple question that how many times had you lied from the time you first stepped into the world, the answer would be numerous times. Even in our daily lives we lie about so many trivial issues knowingly or unknowingly. As per a study 60% percent of human beings cannot go 10 minutes without lying once. Now that figure is something about which I am not lying. But no matter how often we lie, it will always be one of the bad habits.

Whenever we lie about something we always feel that little soul inside us trying to shove us to tell the truth and when we do tell the truth there is no better feeling. Lying does have its advantage but only for the short term. As quoted by the great author Mark Twain “If you tell the truth you don’t have to remember anything”. Now that statement in itself is the testament of importance of truth in our lives.
To be honest I was not amongst the most honest of the kids in my school days. I had this habit of lying and convincing myself that I was just hiding the truth. It wasn’t something I feel proud of but this habit set me straight to tread on the path of truth because it helped me learn the lessons that I was missing because of lying.

I remember that day when I was in my in seventh grade. My parents got me enrolled in a convent school and it was tough as hell for me because neither could I speak English and nor could I understand it. As all the teachers were from south, it became tough for me even to understand the normal and simple questions fired at me. I flunked in a couple of subjects in my unit test and I followed the same glorious run in my quarterly examination. I had to get my report card signed by parents. I went up to them to get it signed and I was grounded. I will not say there wrong about it. They wanted me to work on my skills but it was I who got it wrong.

During my unit tests after quarterly exam I did good and flunked in two subjects only. Then came the midterm examination or half yearly exam, I flunked in 5 subjects, even in the Moral Science. The subjects in which I passed were Mathematics, Hindi and Sanskrit. I presumed canning (which I never got) for this great performance. I practiced my mum’s signature as it was a little easy and was little fidgeting when I did the final act of forging it on the report card.

Via- http://drsircus.com/personal/for-those-who-are-interested-in-truth
I was relieved because I had executed my part correctly. Teacher asked for the report card to be brought back in a couple of days. I took it to the school but didn’t give to the class teacher and made an excuse that I forgot to get it signed. I reached home and my mum was there and served me with the hot meal. I consumed it and went up to the study room. I was feeling that guilt of lying and forging. The day passed and it was bed time. I swirled in my bed for a couple of hours. Everyone was asleep. I woke up and took my report card and went to my parents’ room. I woke my mum and she was little tensed and asked in a concerned voice “Kya hua? Dar lag raha hai kya?”  By the time my dad was also up and asked what happened. I showed my report card to them. They went through the red marks in report card and I said sorry for the signature.

My dad said in a calm voice “Koi bat nahi”. He then asked what problem am I facing and what is the reason for such result. He listened to me and made me understand that it was not my final exam and I could still buck up and make more efforts to change this result. He taught me English after that and after that moment I was on the learning spree. My results improved every year and now I m one of the finest English speaking and English writing kids in my family and placed in an MNC too. I don’t know what my life would have been if I wouldn’t have spoken the truth.

Do try it yourself, it does feel good to speak the truth.

Ways to improve laptop's battery life

Laptop is one of those inventions that transformed the whole world. It has made life of many individuals easier. The use of laptop is not just limited to the geeks and this is what makes it an entity always in demand. But this device is of no use if it is discharged and you have no charging socket near you. A laptop without battery is just a stone that you can open and use its screen as mirror. There are ways by which you can improve your laptop’s battery life.

Source

Low brightness of screen

It is one of those battery savings tips that work on smart phones too. It helps you squeeze out those precious minutes from your battery. You can adjust the brightness according to your needs. If you are sitting in a well lit room then you might want to increase your screen’s brightness and in the same manner if the light around you is dim then you would not have problem working with dim laptop screen.

Stop external devices

This way of reducing battery life is very helpful. If you are low on battery and have to finish up something urgent then plugging in various devices and using N number of laptop ports is not going to help you. If you have plugged in USB to charge your mobile then removing it can be helpful.

Get rid of extra processes

There are certain processes that run in the background but of no use for your work. You can go to the task manager and identify those processes and turn them off. This would help you in using your battery optimally and can help you with the system speed too.

Avoid multitasking

It might not be the best solution but if you see some extra programs or software already open although you don’t need them right away can be of great help. For example- if you are making a presentation and will be inserting some data from other documents in the later part of it then it is advisable you don’t keep that document open from the start. In the same manner playing music while working would drain the battery more rapidly.

Keep battery in good shape

In order to keep your laptop’s battery in good shape you have to exercise it. Once you charge your battery it is important you use and at least discharge it once in a week or two. In the same way cleaning the battery can also be accommodated in this point. Keep your battery in good shape and you would be able to enjoy full life time of it for a very long time.

If you have any other ways of improving your battery life then do mention it to us through the comment section below.
